Powerful, because it illustrates perfectly how much Abraham loved God. Confusing because it feels awful that his willingness to follow God was tested in such a harsh way. But I love that our God is good and loving, so He never wanted Abraham to kill Isaac :) I think all parents should offer their children to God this way (not kill them!!!).
